AB 678, c. 747: Vehicular manslaughter; fleeing the scene of an accident. Makes technical corrections to conform 2006 legislative amendments to provisions relating to vehicular manslaughter.
The sponsor of this measure was the California Highway Patrol.
This cleanup bill would amend numerous Vehicle Code and Penal Code sections that reference Sections 191.5 (Vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated), 192 (Vehicular manslaughter), and 192.5 (Vehicular manslaughter while operating a vessel) PC so that they conform to changes made to Sections 191.5, 192, and 192.5 PC in Assembly Bill 2559 last legislative session.
