SENATE BILL 977 (GREGORIO – 1974)

Numerous sections from the Business and Professions Code, Government Code and Public Resources Code, relating to subdivisions, were affected in 1974 following legislative approval of Senate Bill 977.  (See Exhibit A, #1i)  This bill was introduced on April 25, 1973 by Senator Arlen Gregorio, as lead author.  (See Exhibit A, #1a) 


 


 


 


The measure was heard by the Senate Committee on Local Government and the Assembly Committee on Planning, Land Use, and Energy.  (See Exhibit A, #2, #3 and #5)  The Senate amended the bill three times and the Assembly amended it four times.  (See Exhibit A, #1b through #1h and #2)  Senate Bill 977 was approved by the Legislature on August 31, 1974, signed by Governor Ronald Reagan on September 27, 1974, and recorded on that date as Chapter 1536 of the Statutes of 1974.  (See Exhibit A, #1i and #2)
